Description
You join Internal Audit and report to the Director, Product and Channels Audit. You will:
- Lead risk-based audits of digital channels, payment products and customer journeys
- Cover areas such as onboarding, payments, operational resilience, cybersecurity and change management
- Build ongoing monitoring with SQL, Python and BI tools to spot control failures, fraud signs and unusual transactions
- Run risk assessments and track risk measures
- Review workpapers and write clear audit reports with recommendations
- Follow up fixes with Product, Engineering, Risk and Compliance, and coach Associates and Senior Associates
Qualifications & Skills
Must have 5
- A degree in accounting, finance, computing, data science, engineering, statistics or a related field
- 7+ years in internal audit, audit analytics, technology audit, risk or consulting in financial services or fintech
- At least one of ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIA, CISA or CFE
- Strong SQL and data analysis
- Hands-on use of a tool such as Power BI, Python, Tableau or Alteryx
Nice to have 1
- A master's degree or certificate in data analytics, business intelligence, AI or data science

This is an audit job for someone who also codes. Moniepoint runs mobile apps, internet banking, POS acquiring, cards and APIs, and each one can fail or be misused. You lead audits of these channels, from onboarding to payments, and judge whether the controls hold up. Then you build SQL and Python checks that run all the time. That way, unusual transactions and broken controls show up without waiting for the next audit.
Because the role leads audits and coaches junior staff, Moniepoint wants at least seven years in audit, risk or analytics within financial services. They also want a professional certificate such as ACA, CISA or CIA. The data side is not optional, so strong SQL is a must.
