How Exalda Technologies collects, uses and protects your personal information.

Last updated 19 October 2026

1. Who we are

Exalda Technologies (“Exalda”, “we”, “us”) builds data systems, business software and dashboards, and runs training programmes. This policy explains what personal information we collect through exalda.com and our training programmes, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Exalda is responsible for your information as the data controller. If you have a question about this policy or about your information, email info@exalda.com or call +234 814 338 2733.

We handle personal information in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and, where they apply to you, the data protection laws of the country you live in.

2. What we collect

When you enrol in a programme

  • Your full name, email address and WhatsApp number.
  • If you choose Continue with Google: the name, email address, profile picture and account ID that Google shares with us. We never see your Google password.
  • The programme and payment option you choose, your order number, and the amounts and dates of your payments.
  • Payment details reported by Paystack: the payment reference, the payment method (for example card or bank transfer), the card type, the bank and the last four digits of the card. We never see or store your full card number, PIN or security code.
  • How you found us, if the link you used carried campaign tags, and the page you came from.

While you learn

Your class attendance, progress, quiz results, assignments, project work, grades and certificates, and the messages you send to your instructor.

When you contact us

Our enquiry form prepares a message that you send yourself, by email or WhatsApp. We receive what you send: usually your name, your contact details and your message.

When you visit the website

Our servers process technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages, keep the website secure and prevent abuse. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.

3. How we use it

  • To enrol you and run your programme: giving you access, running your classes, marking your work and issuing your certificate. We need this to carry out our agreement with you.
  • To take payments: processing payments, sending receipts, tracking instalments and handling refunds, as part of our agreement and to meet accounting and tax rules.
  • To keep you informed: class links, schedule changes and payment reminders by email or WhatsApp.
  • To answer enquiries: replying to you and preparing proposals you ask for.
  • To keep our systems safe: securing the website and preventing fraud and misuse, which is in our legitimate interests.
  • To tell you about new programmes: only if you agree. You can stop these messages at any time.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Who we share it with

We share only what each provider needs to do its job:

  • Paystack processes your payments. It handles your card or bank details under its own privacy policy and the PCI DSS card security standard.
  • Google, if you choose Continue with Google.
  • Our hosting providers, who run the servers that hold the website, the learning platform and their backups.
  • Our video hosting provider, which streams course videos to you.
  • Email and WhatsApp services, when we write to you or you write to us.
  • Professional advisers and auditors, and public authorities when the law requires it.

Your instructors see the class information they need to teach you and mark your work.

5. Information sent abroad

Some of these providers store or process information outside Nigeria. When that happens, we use providers that protect personal information to a standard accepted under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, and we share only what is needed.

6. How long we keep it

  • Enrolment, order and payment records: six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as Nigerian tax and accounting rules require.
  • Learning records and certificates: while you are enrolled, and afterwards for as long as we need to confirm certificates we issued.
  • Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to two years.
  • Technical logs: a few weeks. Database backups are replaced on a 14-day cycle.

When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

7. How we protect it

The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Our database runs on a private network that cannot be reached from the internet, access is limited to the people who need it, and we keep daily backups. Payments are made on Paystack's secure pages, not on our servers.

No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission as the law requires.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your information, unless we must keep it, for example payment records for tax purposes;
  • stop or limit how we use it, or object to a use based on our legitimate interests;
  • send your information to you or to another organisation in a common format;
  • withdraw your consent where we rely on it, such as for news about programmes.

Email info@exalda.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng) or to the data protection authority where you live.

9. Cookies

Exalda.com does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not remember anything about you between visits. Some services we use may set their own cookies when you use them: Google, when you choose Continue with Google; Paystack, on its payment page; and YouTube, which plays the videos on our pages in its privacy-enhanced mode.

10. Children

Our programmes are designed for adults. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must enrol you and accept our terms. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 without that consent.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. We will post the new version on this page with a new date, and tell enrolled learners by email if the changes are significant.
