How to stand out for this job
Written by our team from the employer's post. Work through it in order, then apply.
1What they actually want
Our plain-words read of this job. It explains the job, not the employer's own words.
This job is about making Moniepoint's data trustworthy. You decide what good data means for the key fields, write rules to test it, and track results on scorecards leaders read. When a figure goes wrong, you trace it back to its source. Then you work with the data owner and the engineers to fix it. You also lead stewards in teams such as Finance and Sales, so much of your week is spent agreeing standards with people.
Because Moniepoint is a regulated financial business, they want at least five years in data quality or governance. That experience should come from a regulated sector such as banking, fintech, telecoms or insurance. They also want strong SQL and Python, because the checks must run inside the data pipelines. So stand out by showing a quality problem you found, the rule that caught it, and how far errors fell. Mentoring juniors is worth a line too.
