Description
You build and run Moniepoint's data catalogue and lineage, mainly in DataHub. You will:
- Keep the metadata catalogue current: glossary terms, definitions and owners
- Map and check lineage from source systems, through pipelines, to the reports that use the data
- Run DataHub: set up and watch ingestion, and widen coverage with automation and APIs
- Set metadata quality rules and KPIs, and assess gaps and the impact of changes
- Tag data by sensitivity and regulation, and give Risk, Compliance and InfoSec the lineage they need
- Help bring in AI-assisted metadata work, semantic models and knowledge graphs
- Run workshops and training so more teams use DataHub
Qualifications & Skills
Must have 5
- A degree in computing, information, data, engineering or a related field
- 3–6+ years in metadata management, data governance, data architecture or data engineering
- Hands-on use of DataHub, Solidatus, Informatica or a similar catalogue tool
- Has built end-to-end lineage in a complex data setup
- Familiar with Medallion, Data Mesh, Data Vault 2.0, warehouses, lakes and cloud platforms
Nice to have 5
- Experience in financial services, fintech or another tightly regulated sector
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Knows APIs, ETL/ELT pipelines and automated metadata loading
- Semantic modelling, ontologies or knowledge graphs
- A certificate such as DAMA CDMP, CIMP or DCAM
