1What they actually want

Our plain-words read of this job. It explains the job, not the employer's own words.

This job keeps Moniepoint's group numbers in order. Each month you update the model that combines every company in the group, check actual results against forecast, and explain any gap. That model feeds the Board and management packs, which go out on a fixed timetable. Some smaller subsidiaries have no finance analyst, so you also become their go-to person for budgets, forecasts and reports. That is why your week moves between group work and their questions.

Moniepoint wants someone who keeps the model clean when the data is messy, and who asks the subsidiary team rather than guessing. Because the deadlines are fixed, they need a person who delivers without being chased. The best way to stand out is to show a model you built across several entities or currencies, and a variance commentary you wrote. If you have prepared Board packs or worked in a bank or fintech, put that near the top of your CV.
